I laced my arms through Alistair’s as we stepped into the corridor. Plastering a wide smile on my face, I said in a sweet voice. “I don’t know what I would have done without you.”
He turned to look at me, his eyebrows crinkling with amusement. “What has gotten into you today, Ayame Hills?”
“Nothing….” Catching a glimpse of the looming shadow behind the pillar, I drew closer to Alistair and continued in a cheerful voice. “Nothing special… It is just that I am very happy today.” My steps faltered and tugged at his arm, bringing us both to a halt. Pressing my palms against his chest, I spoke in a low, seductive tone. “Why don’t we go for a dinner tonight?”
