An inadvertent sigh of relief left my lips as I unlocked the door. My lips curved in a rueful smile as my gaze roamed around the small apartment shared with Sierra. Had it only been two years since I started living here? When I moved in with Sierra, this place was just a refuge; a place that sheltered me when all the other doors were closed. But, now, it held a deeper meaning for me. It was a safe haven that guarded my heart, soul and spirit. It was my home. “It feels so good to be back…” I mumbled, slumping on the sofa.
