I was just stripping off the hospital gown to put my own clothes back on. I hadn’t even thought twice about the fact that Japheth was in the room. Even though it had been five years, getting naked in front of him didn’t feel awkward. At least, not until I was in my underwear, and he asked if he could touch me.
That was a little weird. I mean, we were in the office of a gynecologist. That wasn’t exactly the sexiest place to start getting it on. But then I realized he wasn’t looking at me. He was looking at my belly. He was looking at the little, barely visible baby bulge on my belly. He didn’t want to touch ME, he wanted to touch the baby bump.
I had to discipline my face so that I wouldn’t let my disappointment show. After all, I wasn’t supposed to want him like that.
