Father and I went to the Village this morn since twas their turn to host Thursday Lecture. Father talked me into the journey. He had a burning curiosity about Parris in the pulpit, especially after hearing Lizzie’s story. Father has seen Parris during various sojourns into the Village, whether to visit the Joneses or the Nurses. Lizzie is forever thankful to Goody Nurse, along with Mistress Parris, for helping her family adjust to this new life. I know Lizzie looks upon Goody Nurse in a maternal way.
