“Jasper, what are you doing? You can’t be here!” I say nervously as I look around to make sure no one can see us.
“I needed to see you. I had to make sure that you were okay.” He breathes. He has been drinking again, I can smell it on his breath.
“Yes, I am fine now. How did you know I would be here?” I ask, curious.
“It wasn’t hard to figure out who your little boyfriend was. Then I saw this party plastered everywhere online. I knew he wouldn’t come here without you.”
“You need to leave right now. If Carter sees you …” my words trail off.
“The cops are looking for me. Did you tell them I attacked you?” He’s getting angry with me now, just like he used to.
“I was unconscious, Jasper. I don’t know who attacked me. Please just let me go, you’re hurting me.”
