Adrian, Carter, Cora and I all worked late for the next working week. Cora and I had developed an instant friendship over the past few weeks considering she is Adrian’s assistant and our cubicles are right next to each other. I confided in her about the relationship Carter and I were forming but I wasn’t ready for the rest of the firm to find out yet.
Cora is pretty and young, only twenty years old. Adrian gave her the assistant position as soon as she finished high school. I can tell how dedicated she is to her job, one of the first ones to arrive in the morning and one of the last to leave in the evening.
