Roger I jolt awake, my head pounding and my mouth as dry as sandpaper. What the hell happened? I can"t remember what day it is, or where I am, or when I fell asleep. My vision adjusts to the dimly lit stateroom and my eyes dart around, taking in the grandeur of the king-sized bed and elegant furnishings overlooking the endless ocean beyond. It"s clear why Abby thought this would be an idyllic vacation— if only it hadn"t devolved into an involuntary staycation. My gaze drops to the clock and a memory suddenly slams into me like a Mack truck. The captain collapsing, the lunatic threatening me, raiding the mini bar after Abby went to sleep, then Blake"s incessant banging at daybreak.
