I closed my book, removed my reading glasses then looked at him.

"Can you go to the party with us?" he asked

"Nope.!" I said going back to studying

"Come on, it will be fun please."

"No G, I promised my parents and brother that I will never attend a party again. You guys got me into trouble last time. My parents found all the liquor bottles you left and it's the reason why my card is gone. So no I won't go with you!" I said now glaring daggers at them both. Alex took a step back shrinking himself away from my glare but G was a tough cookie to crack

"Please I promise there will be no drinking. See I wanted to take marie but she said she was afraid and can't go unless you are there and I already told her that you will be going. Come on Raima, please don't be a bad spot and help a friend." He said batting his non existing long eyelashes giving me the puppy dog eyes.

"Fine but no drinking." I said pointing a finger at him.

I know I was breaking my promise to my parents but I won't drink I'm doing this for marie. And plus I will tell them about it later.

Giovanni was Marie's mate though he was a human. And after spending lots of time together I am guessing the mate bond is probably catching up to him.

And since marie is a rogue she can't go to parties. What if it's in pack territory and she meets pack people, they can be ruthless and would probably kill her hence needs someone to be there for her right? And who else better than an alpha's daughter

"Yay!! thank you so much!!" he was about to kiss me but I moved away.

"No kisses G, I belong to someone." I said and he just nodded his head as I went to get ready.

It was 23: 45 I was feeling anxious. We came here over 2 hours ago and G finally proposed to marie. They are now a couple just heard about it.

I didn't even step foot into the party house. They had tried to get me to go inside but I refused. I didn't want to break my promise or my parents will never trust me again.

I was pacing around my wolf was also on edge it's like something bad was happening, like someone we knew was in trouble and all we wanted was to save that person.

" hey are you sure you are okay, you seem so uneasy." Alex said he was about to touch me when I moved away. I knew Alex liked me a lot that's why I was distancing myself from him. I didn't want to lead him on because it would be so unfair to him if I found my mate who is probably a rich alpha from somewhere around the world.

Since I am an alpha's daughter I can only be mated to a fellow alpha and not someone lower ranked

Only alpha males get to be mated to even omegas but alpha females are only mated to alpha males

He looked hurt but there was nothing I could do instead I said

"You don't have to worry Alex I am fine. I just have a strange feeling and--" I was cut off as Lightening struck thunder roared and the rains started falling. I flinch runnning into Alex's car. we decided to take his car.

I looked at the time and it was midnight.

"Marie we have to go back home immediately." I mindlinked her.

" yes Alpha!" She responded and

Minutes later she came out runnig to the car. Followed by Gio

"What happened, why did you suddenly want to go home is something wrong?" I heard G ask Marie.

"No I just didn't feel comfortable."

She responded as they got into the back sit of the car.

I was sitting on the passenger seat with Alex on the driver seat.

" can we go home now please." I told him and soon we were on the way.

"What's wrong with you?" A asked noticing my uneasiness.

"I just feel weird." I responded looking out the window my eyes focusing on the passing trees It was like I was waiting for something to pop out of the woods.

My wolf was on the surface too our eyes and ears scanning around.

It felt like a case of de javu I don't know if we were in danger or not all I knew is that we had to be on high alert

Lighten struck again

"Ahh!!" I screamed as Alex hit the brakes

'What's wrong Raima?" he asked while my heart was beating loudly I was afraid but I don't know why.

"Please don't cry tell me what's wrong." he asked. He tried to come close to me but I scooted away.

"I am fine lets just stay here for a while until the rains reduce." I said hugging myself.

I knew Marie can feel something was up too.

The rain was now pouring heavily it was dificult for anyone to drive in this condition until

"Aaaaah!!!" All of us screamed as a bloody hand banged on my side of the window leaving a trail of blood.

I began sobbing again as I felt my heart constrict and break into tiny pieces. No it can't be. It's not what I'm thinking now is it?

"I have to go out!" I said trying to open the door but it was stuck.

"No Raima you can't the rain is too heavy and you don't know what's out there please lets just go home."

"No! Please I need to go out!" I pleaded but he was not having it.

I removed my sit belt and

"Raima what are you doing?" he asked as I climbed onto his lap opening his side of the door then going out.

"Raima come back here." he yelled but it was no use.

The scent that hit me as soon as I got out of the car told me that my thoughts were true. It was him my mate.

"No!" I ended up screaming and then sobbing as I quickly ran to the other side of the car and what I saw broke my already broken heart into a thousand pieces.

"No!" I screamed again getting on my knees pulling the bloody man on my lap. I didn't care that I was wearing a white dress and it would be painted with his blood. All I cared about was him.

The rain was falling on me messing up my hair and make up but I didn't mind. My mate looked like he was on his death bed and I wanted to save him.

"Mate!" me and my wolf said at the same time.

He looked so skinny like he hasn't eaten in weeks

He had several wounds on him his stomach was open as blood gushed out while a stick was plunged into him.

And judging by his scent he was human.

"No!" I whimpered. If he is a human then he won't make it out alive his wounds were too severe and blood was rushing out rapidly.

"No please no." I sobbed luckily he wasn't uncouscious. His eyes were open as he looked at me with those beautiful green orbs of his.

"Raima." I heard the car doors open and marie, G and Alex came out.

Marie gasped burrying her face in G's chest.

After a few moments she calmed down though she look shaken up.

I heard my mate say something in italian and I looked at marie

"What did he say." I asked.

"He said he is happy to meet you." I looked at him and his eyes were shining with an emotion that I always saw in dad whenever he looked at mom

But why was he happy to meet me? He can't possibly know that we are mates unless he isn't human.

I sniffed him he wasn't a vampire either then what was he?

"I am happy to meet you too." I said back as he placed his bloody hand caressing my check while I leaned in to the touch tears falling out of my eyes mixing with the rains.

I never thought I would meet my mate like this on his death bed.

A silent sob escaped my mouth

"Raima who is this man? You never even allowed us to touch you like that and you are allowing a stranger?" I heard Alex say angrily.

Alessandro had been crushing on me since I came here. He has asked me numerous times to be his girl but I always refused even when he tried to give me a simple kiss on the cheeks or forehead I refused.

I didn't pay attention to anything he said as I just looked at my mate.

He said something again and I looked at Marie who was looking at us in understanding.

"He uh said that you shouldn't cry, he will be fine and he wants you to kiss him." she said shyly.

I looked at my mate who's eyes kept on flickering from my lips to my eyes

I smiled and place my lips on to his

My first kiss.

I tasted some of the blood that was on his lip but that didn't affect me.

The kiss was slow simple but filled up with passion and a burning desire to be together.

I bet Alex was angry, judging by the sound of someone hitting the car but it didn't matter this man was my mate and I wasn't afraid to kiss him.
