Chapter 3The morning dawned bright, crisp, and cool rather than bitterly cold, yet Geoffrey couldn’t put his dreams behind him. The dreams had started long before he got the call to help Hugh, so Geoffrey didn’t fear they were linked to his mission. But since they left him restless in a vague, indefinable way, he would feel more comfortable if he knew what they meant. Puffing out his cheeks, Geoffrey rubbed his face, the bristles reminding him he hadn’t taken care with his appearance for a few days. Running his fingers through his hair, Geoffrey watched as several dark strands fell loose.
