So, he was the one that sent his brother to rape me three years ago, glad someone else saved me and killed him.
Instead of the people of the realms being glad that I am saved, they accused me of killing the Lycan’s brother.
I tried to present my evidence, but no one believed me.
How could I prove to everyone that I wasn’t the killer, that someone else did it to protect me? People were talking and spreading all kinds of lies against me.
I recalled crying all night, begging the moon goddess to kill me.
I didn’t know. After that day, my stepfather’s hatred for me would increase, attempting to destroy me. Why does everyone loathe me? Why is my heart always getting played?
My sister, Claire came over as she wrapped her hands around me, crying and begging our father to stop his awful attitude.
Instead, she got even more beating from my stepfather. He was a Lycan and his orders are our commands.
I stepped between them and pushed my sister away from him.
“Don’t you ever lay your hands on my sister."
“Get out of here, w***e. I’m sick and tired of looking at your face. Get out."
My mother, Claire, and I were all kicked out and stripped of our title. We left the realms with shame and disgrace.
After three years, I turned twenty-one. I once again changed my name into Ravenna Wolfsong, changed my life and to forget everyone and shut them out of my life forever.
I vowed from that day on not to remember love again, not to recall anyone from my past life and to live a simple life, taking care of my sister and working hard.
I no longer belonged to a pack. I was Ravenna Wolfsong, a rogue, free as a bird with no silly rules tying me down, and my life had been moving on since then.
My mother pulled my arm as we both looked through a certain window. She happily nudged me to come inside the mansion.
I was nervous, but I held my cool and followed her inside.
And the instant we got inside the luxurious mansion, which was as big as a stadium, my mouth opened in awe.
I can’t believe my mom found such a good catch for a billionaire husband.
“I told you, you wouldn’t regret coming here. This is the best place ever and you are not gonna regret it."
I rolled my eyes with both my hands in my jacket pocket with a black hoodie over my head, wearing some black pants and sneakers.
Fuck, I look like a boy, right? I was totally not ready for this mess she calls home with a strange Alpha I learned nothing about.
After all, she got married twice.
“Look, Ravenna, you wouldn’t regret coming here, I promise.” She said, trying to persuade me.
She dropped her bags, took my hand, carrying me to every room she could find, walking past the maids and guards as they greeted us.
We finally stopped because I was getting all fed up by the noises she was making.
“Mom, I need a break. Stop pulling me like a damn kid.”
“Mind your language,” she chuckled and pulled me into a room and shut the door, admiring the building.
“Can’t you see this house? It is the best of all. This will be your new home and your new father…”
“STOP.” I angrily yelled at her. I was tired of her babbling about this mansion this and that.
She glanced at me with a frown. “What is going on with you? Why are you yelling, Ravenna? Are you nuts?”
“I’m not sick in the head.” I flared up. “You are sick in the head, Mom."
“Are you crazy, Ravenna?” She got pissed at me, but I didn’t care about what she said to me.
This is not my home.
I’m sick and exhausted of her meeting multiple alphas already. Doesn’t she get weary?
“I wanna go home, Mom. Can’t you just find a purpose in life? You know, find what you love to do? Must you be involved with an Alpha, changing Alphas like clothes here and there? I’m sick of having multiple fathers. Okay, I’m not ready to have another. Just be yourself. You must not be a whore.”
She slapped me hard across the face, the hoodie on my head fell off it.
“Don’t be such a spoiled brat. Did I give birth to you to ruin my happiness? I took you out of that wretched house and gave you a better life. You are asking for me to find what I love. Your Dad, who brought you to this world, what did he do? Your wretched father contributed nothing to your life. Now, listen to me carefully. I don’t want to hear anything concerning your miserable dad, unless I will throw you out myself."
“And don’t slap me ever again. I am not a child. You can bounce around the way you like. I’m not interested in whoever you want to spend the rest of your life with. Why did I even agree to come here with you in the first place? Just stop talking bullshit. I’m tired of this. Claire left home. As soon as I gather enough cash, I’m leaving here as well."
“Then, if you are not happy with my life, you can get the f**k out and use the door. After all, I will be happy with someone who loves me for who I am."
I glared. I almost yelled back at her when the door opened, revealing a handsome man in his dark blue suit. He was handsome as...fuck.
I have never in my life seen anyone like him before.
He was absolutely gorgeous.
A young man with blonde hair, red lips and blue eyes. He was six feet tall, muscular, had a few tattoos on his arms and his neck.
He also had a little one on his right hand.
A few piercings on his nose and his right ear. He was so f*****g handsome and looks very mature.
I kept staring at him. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. He was even finer than the Alphas and Betas at my workplace. Now I see why my mom was madly in love with him.
“Hi everyone.” He smiled and his smile was the brightest I have ever seen.
How could someone like this be this attractive? I don’t know how to explain this.
I can’t believe this. He’s just so good-looking I couldn't stop staring at him.
My mom turned to him and hugged him so tightly and suddenly kissed him on his lips.
“Ouch.” I winced at the pain in my chest.
And when he pulled away from my mother with a smile, I felt another sharp pain in my chest yet; I held it in.
What was wrong with me?
“Your daughter is just as beautiful as you,” he remarked.
“Thanks, love." she smiled sheepishly.
He walked up to me and stretched out his hand towards me.
“I’ve heard so much about you, Ravenna. It’s nice meeting you.” I hesitated for a while and refused to shake his hand, however the minute our eyes met, I knew the worst thing on earth had happened.
Mate!
Hardulph is my mate. I stood still as our eyes both widened, staring at each other.
