Sydney is finally starting to feel better after a few days, but she wasn’t one hundred per cent. I am back at work because I couldn’t take any more time off. I felt guilty leaving her, and she refused to let me send someone in to sit with her. She insisted she was fine and didn’t need anyone since she was improving. To be honest, I think she wants some peace because I have been around constantly for the last few days.
I plan to nip in on my lunch break with some coffee and lunch for her. I hate seeing her sick, but she should be back to normal in a couple of days. I take my phone from my pocket to text her to check in while I am on my mid-morning fifteen-minute break.
