I am at work all sulky, wondering why would Sarah lie? She has never before lied to me about anything. That’s one of the things I have always loved about her. Why would she start now?
I was there, wasn’t I? She was not at work. Rhea told me that she left with Matt and she can lie, the sort of person she is, but I walked around the office and Matt also wasn’t anywhere to be found. So, maybe she was telling the truth after all? Also, I forgot Sarah’s birthday, didn’t I? Who doesn’t want to feel special on their birthday? Maybe he was just there cheering her up? But then why lie about it? She knows I am not insecure. Or am I?
I am lost in my thoughts, unable to get much work done when my phone rings. I check it to find a text from Rhea.
