CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Daniel checked his messages as they got off their flight at Hartford-Bradley airport and found one from Veronica that he skipped, and two from other people that he read.
The first was from the Hartford PD saying they had a squad car waiting for them at the airport. The second was from Wayne, his friend at the FBI phone tracing unit. A bit of a geek, but he believed in catching bad guys more than he believed in following the strict letter of the law. That made him a hero in Daniel’s eyes. He’d been tracking the phone and said it was still in the same location it had been for the last few hours, a Howard Johnson’s downtown.
