CHAPTER THIRTEEN Daniel felt the case slipping through his fingers. After their fumble with the last museum, they needed to get on track, trace the connections between the crime and figure out what the hell was going on. The problem was that Daniel didn’t see any connections. He sat in his hotel room, staring at his note and the reports that had come in. Daniel and Remi had gotten adjoining motel rooms in Richmond since there was no point in returning to D.C. It would only waste time, and they didn’t have much time. The killer was in a hurry for some reason. Why else would he hit three museums in less than a week? That had started to draw nationwide attention.
