Feral Wolf Attacked Cassandra

Madison's POV :

I woke up to the bright sunlight flashing on my face. It was early morning and the winds were still cold. Looking around, I couldn't find Alpha Jacob anywhere near me. It almost felt like a dream. Only if I didn't have the bite marks all over my body, I wouldn't be so sure that Alpha Jacob had mated with me.

He was my destined mate. The thought itself brought a smile to my face.

'Fiona? ' I called out for her.

'Mady, I am not getting a good feeling right now. Mate is kissing someone. '

Her words broke my heart into pieces. I stood up pushing myself through the pain in my back.

'What do you mean? ' I asked.

'He is cheating on us. I can feel him. It hurts… ' Fiona was surely in pain as I could feel the needles piercing my heart too.

My heart beat went uneven and high out of fear and nervousness. He couldn't just cheat on me like that. After I had been with him last night. After everything which we shared under the moonlight.

I immediately grabbed the tattered gown lying on the ground nearby the trees and got dressed within a few seconds. I had to run back to the pack and tell him about how much I had loved him last night. I was ready to change for him.

'Fiona, can you still feel him with someone? '

'No, not anymore. But he knows we can feel each other getting intimate with other people if we are in close proximity. Why is he hurting us like that? '

I stopped dead in my tracks. It was the moment when something made clear to me. He never intended to make our bond public. He mated with me out of desire last night. Everything was my fault. I shouldn't have dreamed of a life with him. I was the last person the Royal Family would like to take as the Luna position.

'We need to check up on him. At least for the sake of mate bond. ' Fiona insisted.

With no desire in my heart, I walked to the pack borders. All while I still hoped to find my mate waiting for me. To tell me, it was a misunderstanding.

The guards stared at me as I grabbed the sides of my gown to cover my body. There was lots of excitement in the pack, maids running around with their hands full of decorative items. I found Ada supervising the group of young girls for dance rehearsals.

"What's going on here? " I asked.

She smiled and then the frown descended down on her soft features, " Where were you? Why are you in this state? "

I shook my head, " I got my wolf and was lost in the woods… "

Her eyes widened with happiness, " Congratulations! How is she? What's her fur colour? "

"I asked a question first… "

She made a face, " It's your enemy Alpha Jacob and your sweet sister's engagement today. Didn't you see the cars of great Alphas lining up at the borders? "

The color drained from my face. I felt like throwing up and screaming at the top of my lungs. He fuc*ed me just a little over five hours ago and had the audacity to engage with Cassandra.

Ada didn't have time to realize that I was crying by now. The guests were all over the pack. The crowd erupted into loud cheers and I shot my head up to see the beautiful couple giving their official walk together.

Cassandra walked holding his hand and he looked distracted. Well, he would be distracted. After all, he found out that his mate was the most hideous lady in the shifter world.

"Can we all give a round of applause to the couple? " Luna Sophia shouted with excitement.

My body dragged behind the wave of the crowd itself. I didn't want to be here. But a loud angry growl in my own chest scared me. What was happening with me?

I shook my head to get my control back from my wolf. But she was not listening to my commands.

"Don't! " I growled.

A few heads turned towards me. I closed my eyes and tried to think of running away. My feet were stuck at the stop. Fiona had taken more than half control on my head.

And she was burning with rage.

'Fio, please. ' I pleaded.

'I will rip her apart! '

My eyes shifted to deep yellow and I let go off the side of the gown, not caring that I was naked from my chest now and only my lower half was covered with a small piece of cloth. I was locked in the prison of my own head.

"Jacob! You cheater! " My wolf growled.

Alpha Jacob was shocked as he watched me walking up on the stage. Cassandra gasped and grabbed his arm.

"What are you doing here? " She shouted angrily.

I scoffed, " You fu*ked me last night like your life depended on it. Today, you want to get engaged to her. "

I heard the cameras turning towards us. The reporters clicked pictures after pictures, but I didn't care.

"Cover yourself. " He took off his blazer and tried to cover me with it. I threw it away the moment it touched my skin.

"I am your mate! "

Cassandra gasped and pushed me harshly to fall on my back. She stomped me with her high heels.

"Bit*h! It's more than enough. You have been running your mouth too much. "

I wanted Fiona to calm down now but something triggered her more. She took the hundred percent control over my senses, a feral blood thirsty desire ran through her mind. So, she shifted to her feral form and jumped on Cassandra.

Before anyone could comprehend the situation, Fiona had dug her canines in her neck. Her movements stopped and Cassandra fell to the ground.

"Stay still! " Jacob commanded me in his Alpha voice.

I growled and challenged him.

"Seize your movements! Now! "

This worked and my wolf stood with her tail tucked behind her legs.

The pack doctor rushed to Cassandra's side and checked her nerves.

"Alpha, we need to take her to the special facility ward. Her breathing is too shallow. She might even die. " The pack doctor exclaimed.

I was back in my human form and the regret consumed me. I covered myself with the blazer Alpha Jacob had offered me and hid behind a huge pillar to avoid the cameras.

"Guards! Arrest her! " Luna Sophia ordered the men.

Soon, I was held down in handcuffs and kicked on my chest. I gasped for air while more harsh blows landed on my back.

"Stop it! " It was Alpha Jacob. " Take her to my chamber and lock it. I will talk to her after I get back from the hospital but now I need to save Cassandra. "

He carried her almost lifeless body in his arms and his raging eyes gave me a sort of warning before running to the car. Clara had been glaring at me with a deadly gaze and she had not spoken a word since the attack.

"Lock her in the chamber. I will make sure she gets the first execution order in the pack after nearly half a century. " Luna Sophia told me, as a hard slap landed on my mouth making my lips bleed.

"Kill her! " The pack demanded and even Ada shouted in unison.
