After the announcement of Arabella as the new advisor, a palpable tension filled the room. The ministers' faces were etched with a mixture of discomfort and disapproval, though none dared to voice their objections. The silence was heavy, and their dissatisfaction was barely concealed behind their polite nods and forced smiles. If we had followed the traditional methods of appointing an advisor, I knew with certainty that none of them would have cast their vote for Arabella. But the circumstances were different now, and I had my reasons—reasons I couldn’t fully articulate or justify to them just yet.
As the meeting continued, we shifted our focus to pressing matters of the kingdom. To my surprise, Arabella’s contributions to the discussions were both insightful and pragmatic.
