A Princess
"No..." "Please don't go..." The heat was intense, the fire surrounded the girl who stood there while holding the hand of her loved one. But who was it? A boy? A relative? "..." "I don't want to go...", said the deep voice which obviously belonged to a male. But the scene was blurry and nothing other than the fire was clearly seen. "..." "..." . . . "Princess..." "Princess..." "Princess Serena!" "Eh?" A girl, who seemed to be in her teens' opened her eyes after hearing someone call her. *blink blink* *yawn* The curtains were slid to one side and the window was completely open. The fresh and cool breeze that gushed in made her beautiful brown hair flutter. The sound of the birds chirping made her ears tingle. The girl bathed in the sunlight from the rising sun. The music that was heard in the background was from the antique stereo that was being played. As usual, the girl's face was covered with tears that ran down the fair and smooth skin of her face. "Princess, the water has been warmed, please have a shower as soon as possible...", a maid, or better to say, an old lady who seemed to be in her fifties stood beside the princess and asked this politely. "Yes...", that was the only word that came from her mouth. Her voice was quite soft. It was as if a bird had started to speak, needless to say, her voice was softer and sweeter than a bird's singing. She stood up and removed the pajamas that she was wearing. Of course, the scene was covered by the sunlight which was so bright that it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she was wearing clothes made by the sun itself! She then walked in the same manner towards the bathroom which was right in the room right in front of her. The room where she was sleeping was quite large and was painted pink, but the bathroom seemed twice as huge as it and was painted with green, yellow, and blue colors! The huge bathtub that was in the middle of the room was beautiful in its own way. It was as if she was bathing in a pond or lake or a river, the water looked that clear! "That dream again...", the girl said while wiping the tears away from her face. "Since the day I had become self-conscious, not a day had passed that I woke up without crying..." "And today was no exception either..." The girl was sad for sure, the tears would continuously flow, and she would keep wiping them until they stopped on their own, and right now the said thing was happening too. "Just what is this dream?" "I don't seem to remember it once I wake up, but each time I have this dream, I feel as if I have become empty..." "It's as if..." "It's as if something dear to me is lost!" The girl failed to describe the feeling in mere words. Of course, it was a feeling that no words could describe exactly! "Princess Serena, His Highness is waiting at the dining hall to have breakfast with you...", said the same maid who woke up Serena from her sleep earlier. "Yes, I'm coming, just a second!", the girl stood up and walked out of the bath soon after feeling refreshed. The maid had her clothes prepared which she wore almost immediately, better to be said that the maid put it on her. Her eyes had been closed all this time. She was getting dressed by others, including other maids. That included the makeup and other things too. Well, that's how a princess would live her life anyway so it isn't embarrassing or out of ordinary. The makeup was finally done. She opened her eyes only to look at the large mirror that was in front of her. She could see herself wearing a schoolgirl uniform. She was a High-school student, in her third year, as the number '3' could be visible on her blazer which she wore. The makeup was perfect, it wasn't too heavy in any sort. Of course, she didn't require any makeup in the first place because she had natural beauty. She picked up a lipstick that was light pink and put it on her lips gently. "Okay, I'm ready...", right after saying that she walked out of the room and then downstairs only to reach the dining hall where a middle-aged man was waiting for her. Very few hairs in his beard were white, other than that, all his hair was black. Also, he had a lot of wrinkles. Of course, he was getting old. "Good morning princess, did you have a good sleep?", he asked. Serena walked towards him and hugged him. "Yes papa.", then she kissed him on his cheeks and then sat on the chair that was just next to him. The table was so large that at least 20 members could eat at the same time. Needless to say, she at next to him because it would be too awkward to sit at the farthest end. They ate the light breakfast which had salad on the menu prepared by one of the finest chefs in the world. "Okay Papa, I'm off to school.", she said in a gentle voice after finishing her food. "Help her with her things...", the man said with a smile to the butler. "Yes your highness...", the butler who was wearing a black suit and black glasses, picked up the large luggage and put them in the long white car. The girl sat and soon they departed. "Sigh looks like the mansion will be empty for quite some time again...", the man sighed after seeing his daughter leave. "Your highness, it's time for the meeting.", said the Head butler who stood in front of him. He had a good body as if he was extraordinary at fighting. Regardless, he kept the schedules of the man and other things in mind. It could be said that he was an all-rounder rather than just a fighting He then looked at the wristwatch that he was wearing. It was made up of gold despite the fact that its only use was to show time. "Alright then, let's go..."
