It was Damon who called Liam, informing him that Lucy was bleeding and after Liam told Abigail the news, She volunteered to go with him to the hospital.

"Lucy and I were having a normal conversation in the living room when she excused herself to use the bathroom. Then I began to get worried because she was taking too long there. I went to check if she was okay and that was when I found her on the bathroom floor, bleeding and unconscious"
