Sold To The Alpha
The Alpha's Breeder 1.
Sold To The Alpha
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window, the sun just barely peeking through the curtains. For a moment, I forgot where I was, but then the reality hit me like a ton of bricks. I was in my room, in the packhouse, owned by my stepfather, the cruel alpha who never let me forget that I was nothing but a slave to him.
I got up from my small, uncomfortable bed, and went to the bathroom. As I brushed my teeth, I stared at myself in the mirror. My reflection showed a young woman with dark circles under her eyes, pale skin, and dull brown hair that I always kept tied back in a ponytail.
I finished my morning routine and put on the clothes that were provided for me, a simple dress that barely covered my knees. As I walked out of my room, I saw the other maids rushing around, cleaning and preparing breakfast for the alpha and his family.
I joined them, and we worked in silence, except for the occasional order from the housekeeper. I tried to keep my head down, not wanting to attract any unwanted attention from my stepfather. But, it was impossible.
"Lucy, come here," he barked, his voice cold and harsh. I flinched, knowing that whatever he wanted, it was not going to be good.
He took me to his study, a room that always gave me chills, and slammed the door shut. "You know why you're here," he sneered. "The guest room needs to be cleaned and prepared for our guest. And you better do a good job, or else."
I nodded, not daring to look at him in the eye. As soon as he left the room, I collapsed on the floor, my tears flowing freely. I didn't understand why he hated me so much, why he treated me like a slave. But, that was my life, and I had no choice but to endure it.
Hours passed, and I was exhausted from cleaning and running errands. I went to the kitchen to get some water, hoping for a moment of peace, but that was not what awaited me.
One of the kitchen staff, Maria, whispered to me, "Lucy, I heard the alpha talking to his advisor. He's planning on selling you to the highest bidder. You need to get out of here."
My heart stopped. Was that really what he was planning all along? To sell me like a piece of meat? I couldn't believe it, but at the same time, it didn't surprise me. My life had always been a living hell, and it seemed like it was only going to get worse.
I knew I had to leave, but I had no idea how. I couldn't just walk out the front door, and I had no friends or family to turn to. But, I couldn't stay here either, not with the threat of being sold looming over me.
As I sat in the kitchen, lost in thought, I heard footsteps approaching. I quickly hid behind a stack of plates, hoping not to be seen. But, it was too late. The alpha and his advisor walked in, and they saw me.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" the alpha said, a cruel smile on his face. "Trying to run away, little slave?"
I didn't know what to say. I was terrified and alone, with nowhere to go. The advisor stepped forward, a wicked glint in his eye.
"Let's teach her a lesson," he said, grabbing me by the arm. "Maybe then, she'll learn her place."
And with that, they dragged me out of the kitchen, towards a fate that was even worse than
I tried to avoid him as much as possible, but it was impossible not to notice him. Alpha Aiden, the most powerful and feared alpha in the entire werewolf kingdom. His reputation preceded him, and everyone knew that he was not to be crossed.
I had seen him a few times, usually from a distance, and each time I felt a chill run down my spine. He was tall and muscular, with piercing blue eyes that seemed to look right through you. His black hair was always slicked back, giving him a menacing look.
But, it wasn't just his appearance that scared me. It was the stories that I heard about him. He was ruthless, and his punishments were always severe. He ruled with an iron fist, and no one dared to question his authority.
And now, I was forced to live under his roof, as a slave to his every whim. I had heard rumors that he was looking for a breeder, a female wolf who could bear his children and continue his bloodline. I prayed that I wouldn't be chosen for that fate, but deep down, I knew that it was a possibility.
I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be his mate, to be bound to him for life. But, at the same time, a small part of me wondered what it would be like to be loved by someone like him. It was a foolish thought, I knew, but in my lonely existence, it was the only comfort I had.
As I continued with my chores, I tried to keep my head down and stay out of trouble. But, I knew that with someone like Alpha Aiden in the house, trouble was always lurking around the corner.
