Hazel's POV
"I will be back in four days, okay?" I whisper with tears in my eyes.
"I will be fine, mommy" she smiles.
And I don't like how I am crying while she is just waving bye at me with a smile. This is the day I've been not looking so forward to. She is seriously smiling so wide.
I look at Josh and Rebecca and they look like they want to laugh at me.
"You'll be gone for four days. She is in safe hands. Don't act like you are marrying her off" Josh comments.
"It's just that.. I was never away from her" I whisper and look at my sweet baby girl again.
"See you again, four days later mom" she smiles and kisses my cheek.
I smother her with kisses and heavy heartedly stand up on my legs again. Elliot is already looking amused but that is not my concern at the moment.
I turn around and Elliot just nods at me. Telling me that it is finally time. We are at the airport and my daughter is here waving bye at me. She clearly looks like she is excited to stay at Josh's place again. I am glad that they are treating my daughter well.
I just follow Elliot everywhere and we grab a coffee before we boarded the flight. He said it can at least calm me down right now. Because I just don't want to leave Savannah.
"It will be fine" Elliot chuckles.
"I wish" I whisper before following him to the flight.
We get seated in our seats. Business class since he is you know ... One of the richest. I have been on a flight before but not business class. We were rich but not to this point and Adrain simply never wanted to waste money.
This is like.. rows of seats. Two each and it forms like a cabin around the two seats. Passes the privacy check. The arm rest is crazy. The pillows, the blankets.. everything is top notch. Now this feels so lavish.
Elliot looks at the list of movies to watch on the screen and he smiles at few. Must be his favourites.
"Want to watch my favourite?" He asks and I shrug.
He proceeds to play the same movie on the screen before me. We both watch the same movie at the same time but with no noise coming out because of the head phones.
Turns out his favourite movie is The Kissing Booth. Before it started I paused it and noticing that, he does too.
"I thought you are old enough to not be into the YA stuff" I smirk.
"Well, maybe I like this because it is silly" he says and I laugh it off as I play the movie again.
We both have fun and we binge watch all the three movies. The lunch was pasta and the three course meal is not that bad. We even had wine together.
I started smiling again and Elliot is doing everything he can to make me feel at ease throughout the journey.
Several hours later and a lay over later, we land in Paris and the air is totally different. It is slightly cold but not cold enough that I gotta wear woollen clothes or sweaters.
A cab is already waiting for us and Elliot tells me that he had arrangments made for the models to check into their hotels too. He got them the economy seats for the airplane and a four start hotel to check in.
He says, sometimes it is nice to show them who is the boss so they wouldn't take advantage of it. Something I don't understand because I was never the boss.
I look at the roads of Paris and the life the streets are holding in them. I look at the people, the buildings, the malls and everything. Everything feels so magical here.
Elliot takes his time admiring the city too. And just few minutes of driving later, we reach our hotel and it blows my mind away. It is just a synonym of the sentence, "I am rich so this is what I like" .
We then move to our room and I am confused now. One room for both of us?
But the moment I saw why, I am now convinced. This is no less than a two bedroom flat. With two rooms with beds, a common room, a couch at the glass wall that overlooks the city. A cabinet full of wine. A small fireplace. Everything is so perfect.
"This is elegant" I whisper.
"Totally agree" he smiles.
We decide to shower first, have dinner at the hotel's restaurant and call it a night because we both are tired.
Looking at Elliot in just a tee shirt and joggers is something different. I always looked at him in suits and all sorts of formal business attires.
"You actually look good in the casual attire" I smile at him.
"Why? Did you picture me as homeless in casual attire?" He asks and I nod with a smirk.
We talk about the kissing booth movie and he doesn't support Marco somehow. He says if she is in love with Noah even if it's toxic, then it is not his place to hangout around her to that level where Noah feels uncomfortable.
But I debate on that and I tell him how Marco is literally the best part of the whole movie series. Our debate continues even while eating and I notice that we both are the only noisy ones here.
If the question is that do we mind about it? Then it's a big no. Because Elliot seems so different. He is not uptight. He is as if he is in a vacation mode.
I have the steak and it is so good that I want to learn the recipe. Elliot even takes a bite of my food and I glare at him. I take a forkful of pasta from his plate and we agree on exchanging our food.
I laugh and to be honest, it has been the most I laughed in a while.
We both walk to our room again and our eyes are so droopy. We call it a night and move to our rooms. He gave me the bigger one saying he is a gentleman but deep down, I know that he know I don't like smaller places and I feel suffocated. Claustrophobic, you can say.
I sleep with a smile on my face as I look at the city through the glass doors.
My phone rings after what seems like half an hour and I see it's my daughter from Josh's phone. I look out and it is already morning? Wow I slept like a log.
"Good morning" I smile at her.
"It must be afternoon there, mommy. Uncle Josh told me that the time there is different" she says.
I take a look at my phone and indeed it is afternoon.
"I did not know I slept this much. But how are you doing?" I ask her with a smile.
"I am fine. Since it's Sunday, Uncle Josh, Aunt Rebecca and I are going to a movie. The SpiderMan" she chuckles.
"That sounds great" I whisper.
"And we are going to have lunch outside. Aunt Rebecca promised to teach me how to play monopoly too" she is damn excited and it feels really good to see my daughter like this.
"I am happy for you. But be a good girl, Savannah" I say.
"I promise mom. But please get me chocolates and cookies while you come back home" she says and I promise her that if she is good at her Uncle Josh's home.
Few minutes later, I kiss the screen and she does too before hanging the call up. Just at the same time, someone knocks the door. I know it's Elliot.
I open the door and he is now dressed in black button up shirt and blue trousers. I look at him in confusion and he rolls his eyes.
"We are in Paris.! And the fashion show is tomorrow. So I guess today is all about exploring. Now go get dressed. The Eiffel tower is waiting for us"
