Lordia listened to the closing sound of the trunk, her gloved hands tightening around the wheel of the automobile. Lifting her head to look into the rear-view mirror, she saw Mr. Big slip into the car, and in less than a minute, Number Two opened the front passenger door and settled in the seat next to hers. With a last scan of the streets of Abdeen palace which now stood isolated in the surrounding midnight, Lordia started the semi-silent engine and quietly, headed for the old abandoned road which will lead them out of Abdeen square and then Cairo. They would be avoiding the night patrols on the main route too. Maintaining a very high speed for the next two hours got them out of Cairo.
