I was in a very precarious situation. Something has happened to Victor and, as if that was not earth-shattering enough, I now found myself doubting Bobby and his loyalties. I could not imagine that anyone but Lorenzo, Victor’s number two lieutenant, would be giving out the Code Red evacuation order and yet when he was on the phone with me just now, he was his usual relaxed, jovial self. It was as if he did not know that Victor was in danger or that something had happened to him. So how did Bobby know? That question could only be answered with one conclusion, Bobby was indeed a traitor and every second I spent with him, my life was at risk.
I gave Bobby a passing glance before asking, “Do we have time for me to go to the bathroom?”
I could tell Bobby was seriously thin
