Lugard's expression turned cold, his sea-blue eyes glinting with annoyance. "This is my house, and I have the right to order you around," he repeated, his deep voice firm. "And I broke down your door because you refused to meet me. You refused to eat." Lisa's anger faltered, replaced by confusion. "Lugard?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "But... but you're not..." She trailed off, her eyes fixed on Lugard's face. He was handsome, so handsome. Not at all what she had expected. Lugard's gaze narrowed. "Not what you expected?" he repeated, his voice dripping with anger. "You thought I was a monster, didn't you? A beast? Huh." Lisa nodded, her heart racing. Lugard's expression twisted into a snarl. "Well, I may not be as ugly as people paint me, but, am cruel. You are now married to me, and you will do as I say," Lugard said coldly. "Go to the dining room right now and eat. I don't want someone to to starve to death in my house," Lugard said coldly. Lisa was so angry that she refused to move an inch. "I hate it when people cross my bottom line," Lugard growled, his anger boiling over. "And I hate repeating myself," Lugard said as he walked towards Lisa. Lisa's eyes flashed with defiance. "And I hate it when people manhandle me!" she shouted, struggling to break free from Lugard's grasp. But Lugard was too strong. He carried her out of the room, down the hallway, and into the dining room. Lisa kicked and squirmed, but he held her fast. As they entered the dining room, the servants looked up in surprise. Lugard ignored them, striding over to the table and depositing Lisa in a chair. "Sit," he ordered, his voice firm. Lisa glared up at him, her heart racing with anger. "I won't eat," she spat. Lugard's eyes narrowed. "Oh, yes, you will," he said, taking a seat across from her. The servants, sensing the tension, scurried to serve the meal. Lisa crossed her arms, refusing to touch the food. Lugard's gaze never left hers. "Eat," he repeated, his voice low and menacing. Lisa's anger boiled over. "No!" she shouted, throwing her napkin at him. Lugard's expression turned cold. "Fine," he said, standing up. "If you won't eat, then perhaps you need a little persuasion." He stood up from his seat and walked towards Lisa. Lugard's eyes gleamed with a fierce intensity as he leaned forward, his face inches from Lisa's. "You will eat," he whispered, his breath hot against her skin. "You will obey me." Lisa's heart raced as she felt a shiver run down her spine. She was trapped with no escape from this dominant, possessive man. Suddenly, Lugard's hand closed around her wrist, and his fingers felt like a vice. "Come," he said, pulling her out of her seat.. Lisa stumbled as she was dragged out of the dining room and back to her bedroom. He flung open the door and pushed her inside, slamming it shut behind her. Lisa's anger boiled over. "Let me out!" she shouted, pounding on the door. But Lugard's voice was firm. "You will stay there until you learn to obey me," he said. Lisa's eyes narrowed. She would never obey him. Never. she wondered when the butler repaid her broken door too quickly. As Lisa paced back and forth in her room, she heard the sound of footsteps outside. She wondered if they were Lugard's footsteps. After a short while, the sound of a key unlocking the door filled the room. "The servants walked in, "Ma'am, here is your food," they said as they bowed down before walking out and locking the door again. Lisa didn't think twice. She rushed towards the food the servants had just placed on the table and started eating immediately because she was famished. "Young master, the young miss has started eating," the servants reported as they walked to the living room. Lugard was sitting on the sofa. He looked up from his phone and nodded at the maid before getting up and entering his room. The servants looked up and started praying to heaven. When Lugard was about to enter his room, the servant called out, "Young master." Lugard stopped in his tracks and looked at the young maid. The young maid returned the keys to Lugard. Lugard frowned and looked at the keys lying in his palm. "You locked the door," he asked with a stern face. "Yes, young master," the young maid replied, panicking when she saw Lugard's stern face. Lugard stared at the keys for a while before returning them to the young maid. "Unlock the door," he said before entering his room. The servants nodded before walking away. In Lisa's room, after eating, she took a shower before lying down on her bed with a shocked expression on her face, lost in thought. Ring, ring, ring, the sound of her phone vibrating brought her back to reality. She answered the call. "Hello." "Hello baby, are you okay? What's going on over there?" Emma's voice sounded from the other end of the phone. "Lili, what's up?" Didi asked with relief. Lisa smiled when she heard her friend's voice. "I'm okay for now," she responded. Didi and Emma breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you are okay. We were really worried about you. We haven't eaten and slept well since last night," Didi said, relaxing on her bed. "How is your new darling? Have you seen him?" Emma asked curiously. Lisa hesitated for a moment, with a furrowed brow. Didi and Emma frowned when they heard Lisa hesitating. "What's wrong?" Didi asked, sitting up from the bed. "I didn't see him throughout yesterday and today, but..." Lisa hesitated again. "But what?" Emma asked. "Baby girl, say something. You are making us panic, and I'm freaking out here. Say something, seriously," Emma urged. "I don't know. I'm not sure. But someone broke my door and came in angrily, claiming that he was Lugard, but..." Didi and Emma's eyes widened. "But what?" Didi asked curiously. "He looks different. He didn't in any way look like what the rumors said about him. He is very handsome, like a god. He has blue eyes, white skin, very tall. Calm, or should I say cold, with..." Didi and Emma's mouths were wide open in confusion. "I don't understand," Didi said, coming closer to the phone. "For now, I'm not sure if he is the real Miller, but through his behavior, he will be Miller. But all the rumors about him, he may not be Lugard. And he didn't say that he is Miller Lugard directly," Lisa explained her thoughts with confusion. Didi and Emma bit their lips. "You can ask the servants in the house about Lugard. They will say something. You are now their master's wife," Didi suggested. "Yes, that's true," Emma nodded. "Okay, when I'm sure, I will call you guys," Lisa said. "Baby girl, we have started missing you, even though we just separated yesterday," Emma said. Lisa smiled. "I'm missing you guys, too." "Hey, I saw your sister in the supermarket today, shopping with her friend, and she looks so happy as if she just accomplished her mission and won a big trophy. Buying things for her friends and taking them to drink," Didi said angrily. "Let's not talk about her," Lisa said tiredly, stretching on the bed. Lisa tossed and turned on her bed, unable to shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in her stomach. The night was deepening, and the silence of the estate was oppressive, making her feel like she was suffocating. After what felt like hours of lying awake, Lisa threw off the covers and got out of bed. She needed to move, to distract herself from the thoughts that were racing through her mind. She walked out of her room and into the hallway, her bare feet making barely a sound on the floor. She wandered, her eyes adjusting to the dim light that filtered through the windows.
