CHAPTER 17 GAURAV I put down the silverware neatly on top of the table and wiped my lips with a napkin. I moved back to the seat I vacated moments ago and sat comfortably on the chair opposite Danie's. We're now facing each other. I saw her distraught pretty face, and she looked at me blankly or passing through me. Her thoughts were deep. Did she zone out for a moment? I smiled at her to make her feel comfortable and asked, “How would you like us to start?” Perhaps she saw the confidence I unconsciously exuded, which made her look at me with a frown on her face. She put down her silverware, then her gray eyes glared at me defiantly, and said, “Let's bring this down to the notch. Can we define the game or the challenge?” I was aware that she wouldn't make this easy for me, but I m
