I should have said no, I know I should have said no. Even as I walked out of the room I was screaming inside.
Oh my god! Have I gone crazy! I'm going out? With Arther ! And pretend to be an unmarried couple! If Mr. Madison finds out about this, will he beat me to death?
But I couldn't even say no. I wanted to know which designer it was, and I was told he had a very large collection of fabrics! I wanted to know so much that my heart was beating wildly, and I knew that if I refused I would regret it, and I thought countless times how sorry I would be if I refused today.
