Chapter 27

1998 Words

Cynthia's POV I had a rare good night's sleep, and without anyone breaking in and throwing a pot of cold water on me or yanking my hair and giving me a few slaps, I slept until it was almost time for lunch. It was the most peaceful morning I had ever known. I couldn't help but be happy as I looked out the window into the sunshine. Of course, there was one more very important thing today! For today's outing, I had prepared my veil and inconspicuous clothes the night before. I wanted to go to the tailor's store to see what styles of clothes or accessories were sold there, and to see if the pieces I was consigning were popular. Adrian told me the route ahead of time, and I wouldn't go anywhere else, so I would be back soon. I should have no problem getting back before Mr. Madison. Mark
