CHAPTER ELEVEN -- Kiss

I can almost hear the ticking of the old clock because of the deafening silence from around me, the words that he has said on my mind kept on repeating like a broken record. He had said it so bluntly… Jason Lee was really telling the truth then? Was Zionel the one he saw changed? The rumors were true? This explains their out-of-this-world appeals!

I intently stared at his red eyes that still hold the fear in them. I immediately melted, I think he was really worried about telling me this but he had the courage to tell me so... and wait, I'm his mate? I've admired wolves and werewolves, but I haven't heard about mates...

"I-I see.. were you the one who saved me that night? And what are mates?" I asked slightly confused.

His red enchanting eyes widened with my questions but then, relief washed over on his face. I find it so sweet that he was patiently waiting for my answer.

"Y-You're not scared or weirded out about it?" he asked like he's still not believing my words, so I shook my head.

"Why would I be scared? I know you wouldn't hurt innocent people and I admire werewolves... they’re kind of cool, well except for that werewolf who attacked me that night," I honestly said, and his red eyes immediately glinted with happiness as he hugged me again.

"You don't know how much you have made me happy..." he muttered behind my back, and before I could utter another word, he broke his hug to me and faced me again.

What he did after really caught me off guard, he crashed his lips into mine.

H-He kissed me... he kissed me! His lips were so soft and warm, it was like I was in a trance when I have responded to it. It was like my lips were made for his.

His slightly rough hands touched and graced my cheeks while his warm-toned arms were slowly wrapping around my waist to pull me closer to his burning body. I lifted my arms to wrap it around his neck to pull him closer, to deepen more the kiss that he has started, his kiss was unwavering, he was gently ravishing my lips till my knees went weak. 

I softly moaned when his lips moved to my bare neck leaving soft sweet kisses that send a shiver down to my spine and I finally yanked his hair making him groan in pleasure, I stopped when I heard something fell... what just happened?! The trance I was into earlier was long gone, so I slowly pushed him away.

"Y-You kissed me... that was my first kiss!" I shouted right after I have regained the air that I have lost while I was making out with him.

His red eyes were glinting with desire and lust but he closed his eyes and shook his head. He opened it again and moved away from me while scratching the back of his neck.

"I-I'm sorry... I-I'll be back," he immediately left towards the bathroom after he has said those words, it gave me the time to hold my chest that was still pounding rapidly.

I can't believe that I just had my first kiss! I curiously eyed the bedside table, the moon-shaped lantern was gone, Zionel must’ve bumped into it and fell on the ground when he groaned.

I felt my cheeks heat up... why did I have responded so easily! I was mentally slapping myself when the door in the comfort room finally went open, letting me witness Zionel's attractive face again.

"I'm so sorry Ravey... I-I was just so happy that you don't hate me," he apologized like he was a bit disappointed with himself, so I slowly shook my head.

"I-It's alright... it's not like I didn't want that to happen," I immediately put my palms into my mouth, Holy sh--! My mouth is spouting words that aren't to be heard!

“Well, I’m not sorry that I kissed you… I’m so glad that I did,” he said, so I immediately glared at him. I hope I’m not blushing at his remark, I heard him laugh and sat again beside me.

"Just kidding, so about your questions earlier yes I was the one who saved you almost three days ago... I-I was that silver werewolf... I'm sorry I killed it right in front of you," he muttered like he was embarrassed and mad about something.

Feeling the corners of my lips lift, I smiled at him genuinely, "I see... thank you Zionel... I owe you my life,"

He smiled back at me that caused my heart to skip a beat, "It's my job to protect you, you're my mate.. you're my life," he whispered something that I didn't hear clearly, but I didn't ask again cause I was curious about the mate thingy.

"What's a mate? I haven't heard about it when I studied werewolves... all I know is you have superhuman strengths! Every full moon you change into your werewolf form and will be back into a human after their true love has kissed them!" I happily told him, and he just laughed at my sudden storytelling.

"Some werewolf stories that were written by humans aren't real Ravey..." he said so I bit my lip. I heard him growl which made me jolt up in shock.

"O-Oh my-- it was you all the time?!" I shouted at him and a sexy smirk just flashed against his gorgeous face.

"Don't do that Ravey, if you still want to breathe again," he said in a deep, almost husky voice that made me nervous.

"W-What do you mean?" I worriedly asked, is he going to kill me? He just stared at me again with desire and lust visible in his eyes but then again, he shook his head.

"I-I'm also sorry that I acted like a jerk in the cafeteria days ago," he mumbled shyly.

"Yeah about that, I was curious why did you guys suddenly avoided me? Did I do something wrong?" I asked, giving him all of my attention.

He deeply sighed and shook his head, "No, you did nothing wrong. We’re not on good terms with hunters, they have killed many of our kinds so we kind of despise them but since we need to blend into this town, we have to abide by their rules so they won't be suspicious of our kinds. Rogues were sabotaging our image to them by killing innocent humans, it's not helping to ease our situation with them at all they’re just making it worse,” for a moment I saw his eyes glinted with anger.

“White Moon Clan only protects our people, we won't hurt anyone unless they have threatened our kind. We got upset about hearing you joining them but I was wrong on that part because I don't even know your real reasons yet," he added.

I was literally in shock at what I have just heard, "D-Do you mean even Yuna and Charisse are werewolves?"

He nodded, "All that you have tabled with on that day were werewolves, we're a bit many studying in that University but some of them were just lowkey watching us, afraid to be known by humans,"

"For real? Oh my God! This is too much to take in but I'll manage... my father actually asked me to join them but not to hunt, just only for my self-defense. He was worried that he might not be able to protect us because of the killings but you shouldn't have to worry about that, even if I still didn't know about your kind I wouldn't hurt anyone even an animal unless it's a life and death situation," I said making him smile that caused my heart to skip a beat again! Why is he so dang gorgeous?! I flinched when he suddenly touched my hand and stared at me.

"I'm really sorry Ravey... I should've known your reasons first, I was upset about nothing I'm such a useless mate," he grunted out in frustration.

"H-Hey it's okay, we just had a miscommunication so you're forgiven," I honestly said, trying to pat his head, so he just grinned.

"So uh, what are mates?" I asked again, so he sighed and talked.

"About that... I'm also sorry, but I cannot allow you to leave this place even after you have recovered," what he said instantly made my systems shut down. Did I hear that right?

“Wait, did you just told me that I cannot leave this place even after I have recovered?” I asked again just to make sure and he just nodded.

"W-What? But why? My parents are worried sick out there! I need to leave here as soon as I recover!" I shouted that made his aura gloom. He just sighed like he's trying to find the right words he must need to say.

"The thing is, we need to tell them that you're dead, you're my mate… you are bound to rule here by my side for the pack to make it stronger," he explained calmly.

"What?! Are you crazy?! You're going to tell them-- my parents that I'm dead?!" I'm so furious, I want to stand up and punch or smack his head if I could. Is he even thinking straight right now?!

"I'm sorry but that's going to happen whether you like it or not," he muttered which made me more furious. I have forgotten all of the good deeds he did to me because of this.

"Get out of this room Zionel... I don't want to see your face!" without another word he left me alone in the room that made me whimper.

How can he do that to me? I have a family that is still probably worried sick out there! I can't believe that he's this heartless!

After sobbing for almost an hour, I have come up with a plan. If he will not allow me to get home, I will leave this place after I have recovered.

Even if it means, I have to escape this place.

Why was she so against it? Won't she want to stay with me forever? After I have left my room I went to my office to drink a glass of wine. My heart is aching damn it! I can also feel that she’s in pain right now.

"Woopsie someone's upset," I heard Carson said after he had entered my room and seated on the chair right in front of me.

I glared at him and just drank my wine. I have no time to bother myself with his remarks for today.

"Woah was it that bad? Did she rejected y--" before he could even finish the word, I accidentally broke my glass with my bare hands and faced him furiously.

"No, she did not! S-She just don't want what I have suggested her to do," I said, slightly irritated with the thought. I can hear him slightly chuckling, so I glared at him.

"What just happened really? Cass is on her way to your room to visit her and hand over the stuff that you have told her to get, so she'll have a company for now," Carson replied, so I just nodded and told him everything that I have said to her except to the part that I have claimed her lips of course.

That feeling and warmth are only mine to keep and feel. I grinned remembering what happened back there after I have kissed her, she tastes so freaking sweet. I almost lost myself out there if she hadn't pushed me. Psh.

"You freaking told her what?! Are you crazy?! She's a human remember that Alpha! They have different perspectives that are far more worst than we and family are very important to them! I bet you made that lady so freaking mad right now!" he shouted at me hopelessly, so I just sighed. Was it that bad?

"What should I do then? That's the only way I can keep her safe and also away from danger, I cannot allow her to leave.." I muttered, so he just sighed.

"Well, If you really want her to stay Alpha, you should do the traditional way of snatching a human's heart," Carson suggested proudly that made me look at him.

"You mean--"

"Yeah, dimwit court her, make her fall for you so she won't leave you. I can't believe I'm actually advising you these kinds of things hahaha!" he cut the words that made me glare at him even more, he's laughing very loudly now. If he isn't my beta and my best friend, I would've probably locked him up on some cells by now.

"Where and how should I start?" I hopelessly asked him.

"Don't ask me that, you yourself should know where you should start," he said while smirking at me, so I just glared back.
