When we arrived back at the penthouse, I couldn’t wait to get away from Hayden. Seeing him in such a pleasant mood and acting a little too nice to me, just triggered warning alarms in my head. I felt restless and anxious around him. I just wanted to hide away in my room and work on my art to heal my tired mind. “…Thank you for today,” I said curtly in a stiff voice before turning on my heels.
