A Younger Man By R.W. Clinger The heat feels as if Mount Washington had turned into a volcano and hot ash and lava filled the three rivers of Pittsburgh, scorching the small city. At least this is how Wolf Cannon feels when he steps out of his Tudor on Cheshire Street in the South Side area of town with a paperback copy of Giovanni’s Room in his right hand. It’s May 15 but he swears the day’s heat hints at it being a day in August. He’s read the book a handful of times. Maybe every five years. At fifty-one, he guesses maybe six times.
