I let go of Edric and took a step away from him. It wasn’t good for me to be close to him, I couldn’t let my emotions get the best of me. Maybe the vampire who turned the lehiam has a special connection to them, because something made me feel drawn to Edric. It made me aware of his eyes on me, though mine had left him.
