"What happened?" Lucy whispered as she walked me inside the house. I quietly followed her inside her bedroom, not wanting to wake her Dad up. If he knew what trouble I was in then he wouldn't let Lucy be friends with me. Thankfully he didn't.
"It's a long story," I replied.
"Tell me, I have all the time." The bed bounced as she sat down.
I placed aside my belongings and removed my coat. I needed to change my clothes and shower. It had been a day since I last showered.
"Well, I spoke to the Master and he told me what the agreement was about. My parents basically sold me off to him so I wouldn't die. They signed a contract where I have to marry him when I turn 21!" I exclaimed.
Lucy gasped in surprise, "What? Marry the man who kidnapped you? Is this for real?"
