I found the others in the living room, engaged in conversation and enjoying their drinks. Some of them glanced at me as I appeared, smiling with knowing looks. Yeah, it was pretty obvious that I was practically floating on cloud nine. I just couldn’t help it. My mate brought me strength.
“How did it go today with Landon?” James inquired.
“Bad... We’re all invited to his party. Including Cecilia,” I replied.
“Sh*t...” Lara muttered.
I nodded. “He’s planning something. He’s going to turn this party into a scene from the Underworld,” I explained. “Landon thrives on chaos, but in a manipulative way. He enjoys watching things burn just for the sake of it. He’ll try to manipulate us in various ways. So, be prepared.”
