I scanned the room I’d been assigned. It was on the same floor as Lara and James, and I knew Cecilia would be moved up here too, with her room just across from mine.
Lara had a peculiar smile when she chose it and enlisted some pack members to help relocate Cecilia’s belongings. Lara was clearly trying to facilitate Cecilia’s acceptance of me, and I appreciated her efforts.
However, Cecilia was still nursing old wounds, and I needed to find a way for her to move past them so we could truly be together.
