Coach had given Zen a good talking to about missing practice the previous day, but her anger was soon forgotten when Zen once again shot through the water like a fish. She was finding it hard to hold back the way she normally did. At one point she was going so fast that some of the other swimmers actually stopped to stare at her.
It took twice her usual effort to slow down after realizing that people were noticing her inhumane speed. After practice she met up with Calum and they made their way to the bus stop.
“I can almost get my licence, you know. Hopefully, my parents will get me a car then and I'll be able to drive us around, so we wouldn’t need to walk or take the bus anymore.” Calum explained as they made their way down the street.
