Chapter 2 Tibbit Shanks jumped, letting go of the shovel. It fell into the hole he’d spent the last hour busily toiling over. His heart jumped into his throat and he may have elicited a squeak of surprise, though to be fair he should have known there was a high risk of being discovered.
