"So he isn't even worthy enough to be called a slave? Pfft, haha!", she laughed loudly.

Even the maid started to laugh when she heard this. Of course, this was normal behavior because hierarchy meant everything to the Vampires.

Regardless, it could be said that she was looking down on Jay and was having fun doing that, but little did she know that Rose meant something else when she said that.

"No sister, what I meant to say was...", when Rose said this in a low voice, Ann became quiet.

She looked at Rose because she seemed quite serious.

Rose asked Ann to come a little closer because she wanted to whisper rather than say it out loud. 

Ann lent her ears and then listened to what she had to say.

The maid was a bit confused but she didn't say anything. She just kept staring at them while looking at Jay too who had his head lowered.

"What did you say...?", Ann took a step back with her eyes opened widely when she heard what Rose said.

"...", she almost immediately turned her head towards Jay and looked at him intensely.

Jay too looked back at her after hearing the sudden raised voice.

*gulp*

"I..."

"I am sorry...", that was the only thing that Ann uttered.

The maid was utterly surprised when she saw the change in Ann's behavior with just a little bit of whispering.

It was as if some ridiculous but extraordinary secret was revealed.

The maid failed to understand what was happening because the next moment when she looked towards Ann, he found her bowing her head and asking for forgiveness.

"I'm so very sorry Your Highness, please forgive me...", she grit her teeth while saying that.

Rose too lowered herself and begged for mercy, "Your Highness, please forgive my sister."

"She was unaware of who you were...", was what Rose said.

The maid could no longer take what was happening. She felt as if her head would burst with all the mysterious talk and behavior that was being displayed.

Regardless, the one who was surprised out of all of them was Jay. He wasn't even aware of the reason as to why they were apologizing in the first place.

No matter what they said, Jay felt that he was in a rather high position and that was because of Rose addressing him as 'Your Highness' for long.

Therefore, he felt the need to act like one at least until he would escape from this place.

He deepened his voice and said with elegance after raising his head, "Very well, I forgive your insolence..."

"Thank you for your mercy, Your Highness...", both Rose and Ann said the same thing at the same time and left the place while asking the maid to give the best place of the house.

Rose basically threatened the maid because she brought him to such an unsightly room in the big mansion!

"Yes, I will do that immediately!", the maid said this and rushed off to clean the already cleaned room where Jay was supposed to go from the start.

"Your Highness, your chamber will be prepared shortly...", Rose said this after visiting again and left the room.

Jay sat there without saying anything else. He was sweating profusely.

'Phew, that was close...'

'If they had figured it out that I was just another human, then I would have been as good as dead by now!', was what he was though while being alone.

*gulp*

'I have to think of every move that I make from now on...'

'Well anyway, let's take a look at the mission again.'

He asked the system to open the quest window or the mission window just by thinking about it.

[ Mission 01 ]

[ The Awakening ]

-> Host needs to awaken the True Vampire Body by drinking 5 drops of human blood.

Time Limit: 00:23:48:51 ( 29 hours 48 minutes 51 seconds )

-> Appropriate punishment will be given on failure.

'Hmm, so basically I can awaken the Vampire Body by drinking 5 drops of human blood...'

He thought about it a bit more. He was planning to run away and drink the blood of some human nearby when suddenly he found a great idea with the help of which the mission could get over within a moment!

'A human blood right? That's all it needs! Ain't I a human too?', he realized that.

Of course, the weird red rank think was out of his understanding for the time being, but he was sure about the human thing. Therefore, he could basically drink his own blood to complete the mission since it was nowhere mentioned that he couldn't drink his own blood!

"Okay then, time to..."

He bit his own finger as hard as he could to force it to bleed. It was hurtful for sure but oh well, it was nothing in front of the fear of being among the vampires.

'I need to become a vampire to survive here...', that was another thing that he was thinking about. 

If he were to really become a vampire, then there would be no fear of being found out that he was a human. Not only that, but he also wanted to complete the system's mission!

*gulp*

He drank his own blood continuously. Although only a little amount of blood gushed, it was more than enough to complete the mission.

'Ding'

[ Congratulation ]

[ The Vampire Body is being Awakened ]

'Ding'

[ Failed ]

[ Dual Body (Human Body, Vampire Body) cannot exist ]

[ Asking the host to choose one body - Human Body/Vampire Body ]

When Jay looked at all the notifications that were popping up, he was bewildered.

Not only that, when he read the last statement, he was quite surprised.

Indeed, he had not once wondered about being a vampire, but whatever, he couldn't do many things in the human body anyway.

"Vampire Body."

That was all he said and he was ready to become a vampire completely. He was basically abandoning his humanity.

Of course, he loved vampires dearly, but now, all he had was hatred.

'To defeat evil, one needs to side a greater Justice.', that was a common phrase that was taught to humans and Jay was no exception.

He believed in that. Of course, it was taught in schools and that was how the human's mentality was formed. However, right now, Jay was trying to do something.

'To defeat a vampire, become an even stronger Vampire!' - was his only motto now!
