Blue Lagoon was a theme bar. It had lots of beach and shell motifs, and the drinks on the menu were all related to the beach, mermaids, and sailing.
Jack was already at the bar, sipping on some electric blue drink. I slid onto the shell barstool beside him.
“You made it!" Jack said. He spun around and opened his arms like he was going to hug me.
“Did you think I'd blow you off?" I asked, creasing my brow and ignoring the outstretched arms. I hadn't been the most receptive to Jack's advances, but he seemed to think I was flaky, for some reason.
“No, not at all," he said with a big smile as he lowered his arms. “What can I get you to drink?"
