“You’re doing it again.”
I knew where Sand was going with this, but I feigned ignorance. Instead of responding, I skimmed the dresses she brought over. Sizing her up to find which dress would go with the look I had in mind for tonight’s event. My sole focus right now was getting my friend and so-called sister ready to bewitch the guys she keeps lying to herself about.
“So, you’re going with the silent treatment again? Mel, you can’t keep doing this.”
“Sand, shut up and try this dress on.”
She held the light tannish gold dress with awe. Gazing from the dress to me, I could tell her thoughts were running. I can only hope it was about this damn dress and tonight’s event and not about me. Unfortunately, it was the latter.
“No. Not today. You don’t get to shut me up today.” Yeah,
