Hazel's POV
By the end of the day, my back was sore and aching badly. Who knew treating patients was so stressful. I couldn't imagine it, not until today.
I was waiting for Norland by the gate so we could go home together. He sent a message asking me to wait for him so that was what I was doing.
Betty was quick to walk away after grumbling what a flirt I was. I simply ignored her because she was just being jealous even after saying it aloud that I wasn't interested in Norland.
While I waited, I noticed the King's guards coming towards me so I took a few steps back to let them leave but instead they stopped in front of me.
“You need to come with us, Miss Hazel,” one of them said, making me frown. I hadn't done anything wrong so why?
“Why, if I may ask?” I was a bit skeptical about
