Two Nights Later
Music pumped from the speakers as Io and a handful of others danced, everyone decked out in costumes from the elaborate to the simple. His heart was filled with joy. After Cinder agreed to let him throw the party, they spent the last two nights busily getting Blackstone ready, turning it into an impressive array of bats and ghosts and spiders. Chairs and tables were moved into the ballroom, courtesy of a rental company, and were currently laden with all sorts of sweet treats, some of which Io baked himself the night before. He originally planned to do them with Daisy, but she neglected to show up, further feeding his concern.
A quick trip by the compound failed to turn her up.
