Amara's POV
I was surprised to meet Darlington's gaze on me. The way his eyes were focused on me in shock, probably wondering what I was doing here in Club Six, one of the biggest hotels in City Z.
I saw the lady with him, the love of his life, touching his chest and romancing him. I looked away from them as the waiter arrived to take Esther's and my order.
"What would you like to drink?" Esther asked me. I looked at her face, and a sad smile curved up my lips as I replied, "Anything cold and relaxing."
"I see." Esther took our orders, and then she asked me, "So what brought you here to City Z? I thought you said you weren't going to return here."
"I know I said that. Actually, my father wants me to marry his best friend's son. That's why I'm here."
"What!" Esther looked so shocked.
