I'm very excited about our trip to Santa Cruz next weekend. There is a certain someone that I meet up with every time we visit. Trent and I have secretly been in a relationship on and off for about two years. When he got into NYU, we decided to take a break and see each other during breaks. The only thing stopping us from being together out in the open is my brother. He doesn't approve of him. Trent's brother Steve is closer to Derick's age and is in and out of jail for the most part. Alex can't see that Trent is different and that he shouldn't be lumped in with his brother. It doesn't help that his dad is an alcoholic, which adds to Alex's disapproval. My parents tend to side with Alex because they don't want anything bad to happen to me, but Trent isn't like his brother or fath
