Gabriel knew better than to keep arguing. He cautiously approached, trying to carry her home, but Ashley refused him once more.
Finally, he gave up and said, "Alright, alright. I'll go back first. Will you be okay alone?"
Ashley didn't reply, her face expressionless. She waited for him to leave before she slowly began to gather herself.
Dragging her weary body home, she found that Gabriel had already prepared the bath water, which she didn't refuse. After all, there was no reason to make things harder on herself, though she felt irritable and didn't want to see him.
"Please leave before I finish bathing. I don't want to see you!" she spoke coldly before closing the bathroom door.
