Gabriel looked at Ashley with a hint of frustration. He couldn't understand why, even after everything that had happened between them, Ashley still couldn't fully accept him.
Carrying his tray, he walked over, sat down at the dining table, and began eating in silence.
Ashley sensed his mood and turned to look at him. "What's wrong?"
She asked with a playful smile. "Are you upset?"
She thought for a moment and then said, "I didn't mean anything by it. I just think it's a bit too soon for us to live together since we just got back together. And don't they say that distance makes the hearts grow fonder? What if we get tired of each other after moving in together?"
Ashley moved closer, sitting on his lap, wrapping her arms around Gabriel's neck and burying her face in his chest.
