Ashley maintained her composure and smiled. "Thank you. I haven't been to Old Oak Restaurant in years. I'm excited to try their specialties again."
Maria caught the implication and glared at Gabriel. "Gabriel, you haven't taken her here before?"
Caught off-guard, Gabriel stumbled over his words, unable to come up with a response.
That was because they had only recently reconciled!
Before, she would avoid him entirely, leaving him unsure of how to reconnect. Luckily, now that they were back together, there would be plenty of opportunities to dine there.
