Gabriel and Kaitlyn's expressions paled at Ashley's words. Gabriel seemed more furious by the moment, while Kaitlyn, seeing that Ashley was about to go upstairs, feigned a gentle tone and said, "Since she's going to change, let me take her."
Ashley was, of course, more than smart enough to tell what Kaitlyn was planning. She sneered inwardly and played along.
"Let's go then," she said, eager to find out what exactly Kaitlyn was about to do.
Gabriel nodded. "Alright."
