It was well after midnight and the crowd at the Wolf’s Den was as wild as ever. I walked through the bar, making sure that all of my patrons were well taken care of. Tonight was one of those rare nights where I could actually show up to the bar in person instead of relying on my managers and staff to run things. I slapped my Gamma, Hudson, on the back as he sat at one of the stools,
“Enjoying your night off?” I chuckled, nodding towards the several empty shot glasses littering the bar top in front of him.
“Yes, sir!” Hudson slurred, laughing loudly.
“You give him too much leniency.” A blonde haired, green eyed wolf walked up beside me.
My Beta, Owen Black, was the rule-following, law-abiding citizen between the three of us, constantly reminding me of my responsibilities as the king and Hudson’s immaturity. Rumor has it, he got his superiority honest, handed down by his father, Jett Black who was my father’s Beta during his reign.
“You need to learn to have some fun, Owen.” Hudson sighed, trying to hand Owen a shot.
“Honestly, man, you can take the night off.” I encouraged my Beta.
“If I take the night off then who’s going to watch out for your drunk asses?” Owen scoffed, glaring at Hudson and I.
“I can handle myself, thank you very much.” Hudson sassed.
“I’m not even drunk.” I argued.
“You will be in a minute.” Owen said, eyeing something that was behind me. Or rather, someone.
“Why?” My question was answered when a dark skinned woman with cocoa colored eyes and shoulder length brown hair caught my gaze.
“Hi, baby.” She smiled as she sashayed across the room, draping her arm around my shoulder and planting an open mouthed kiss on my lips.
“Jazlyn.” I grumbled, entertaining her advances.
“Aren’t you happy to see me?” She pouted, sensing my irritation.
“I’m working.” I answered shortly.
Hudson snorted before waving down the bartender and asking for a double shot of whisky. Owen shook his head before turning his back on me to scan the crowd.
“It’s your night off and you don’t want to spend it with me?” Jazlyn frowned, batting her thick eyelashes at me theatrically.
“Here, ice princess, have a drink.” Hudson shoved a martini in Jazlyn’s face before handing me the whisky. Jazlyn glared harshly at him,
“Stop calling me that.” She whined and I rolled my eyes at Hudson.
“You know that rials her up.” I grumbled at him through the mindlink.
“I know, that’s why I do it.” Hudson snickered.
“Dance with me.” Jazlyn said after downing her martini. I tilted back the whisky and swallowed it all in one gulp before nodding at Jazlyn.
“Of course.” I agreed. She giggled and wrapped her arm around mine, dragging me to the center of the dance floor so she could me show off to everyone else.
Jazlyn and I have known each other our entire lives. We were raised inside the castle together, her parents being good friends with mine. How she turned out to be the snobby, bitchy brat she was, I’ll never know. Honestly, it was probably my fault.
We started fooling around in middle school and became “official” in high school. She was positive that she was my mate, I wasn’t as convinced. On my 18th birthday, I was proven right but failed at locating my destined mate, so I kept Jazlyn around. She was so sure I would give up on my mate and chose her as my Luna and Queen. I knew, and my brother knew, that that would never happen.
Jazlyn turned in my arms and pressed her butt against my groin, grinding against me feverishly. It didn’t take long before I was turned on and swaying alongside her. I gripped her hips in my rough hands, scrunching up her miniskirt to reveal more of her long legs. Jazlyn moaned as my fingers swept across her bare skin, tossing her head back to rest on my shoulder.
“Let’s go to your office, baby.” Jazlyn purred and I grunted in response.
She took my hand and led me off the dance floor, down the hallway, and into my office. She shut and locked the door before turning around to level me with her sultry gaze. She began to slowly unbutton her white, nearly see through top as she walked towards me. I watched, silently, perched on the edge of my desk.
She pulled her shirt from her shoulders and dropped it to the floor, unzipping her skirt from the side and shimming out of it. She ran her hands down my dress shirt, ripping it open and watching as the buttons scattered to the ground. I complained internally, that was one of my favorite shirts.
She removed my shirt and got to work on the buckle of my slacks, undoing the zipper, and dropping to her knees. She took me in her mouth and I grabbed a handful of her hair, bobbing her head up and down. I groaned and gripped the edge of the desk with my free hand.
“Oh, what the hell, Ian. Not in my office.” A woman’s voice shrieked as the door banged against the wall.
I jumped, shoving Jazlyn away and quickly fixing my pants. Jazlyn yelped as she fell to the ground, scrambling for her clothing.
“Aunt Viv.” I said in a pained voice, my face heating up with embarrassment, “The door was locked.” I mumbled.
“Yes, and I still have a key," She said matter-of-factly, holding up a silver key, "For Goddess sake, Ian, this was mine and your mother’s office once. Do you have any idea of the things that have been done in here?” Viv stood with her hands on her hips, shaking her head at me.
“Please, Aunt Viv, I don’t want to know.” I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose.
Jazlyn, who was now dressed, looked between me and my aunt with wide eyes like she was expecting something.
“Do you want a formal invitation to leave? Allow me. You’re dismissed.” Aunt Viv snapped her fingers at her and motioned towards the door.
“Ian….” Jazlyn looked at me and I shrugged,
“You heard her.” Jazlyn glared harshly at me before stomping out of the room.
“Hasn’t your father told you about the dangers of playing around before you meet your mate?” Aunt Viv said, c*****g her eyebrow at me.
“He might’ve mentioned a thing or two.” I said in a distracted voice.
“More like three things, three women who very nearly got your mother killed.” Aunt Viv said, her joking tone now gone.
I sighed loudly, knowing all too well about the story of the rogue Lord and my father’s three mistresses. My mother just loved to throw them in his face every chance she got.
“This is different.” I mumbled, sounding like a child.
“Oh, is it?”
“Alex and I will have the same mate one day.” I stated.
“No kidding, so one girl will be pissed at both of your dumbasses.” Aunt Viv rolled her eyes.
“Mom? I thought I heard your voice.” Owen appeared in the doorway of my office. He sniffed the air and wrinkled his nose, glaring at me, “That’s nasty, Ian.”
“Your mother is the one who doesn’t respect boundaries.” I grumbled and Owen busted out laughing.
“Oh s**t, what happened in here?” Hudson staggered in as well.
“Give me a break.” I threw my hands up in the air, “Someone go bother Alex and leave me alone.”
“Believe me, someone is already on that. Your parents request your appearance.” Aunt Vivian explained.
