24. How to become a Luna?

Arya was obviously dumbfounded at the way he was being so clingy and holding onto her.
Yes, she knows he wanted something from her but didn’t know it was up to this Level.
He was talking about love?

She cleared her throat whilst trying to hold him away from touching her.
“How about this?” He asked, touching her face.
“What?” Arya groaned as he rested on her shoulders.
“If you end up becoming my Luna, will you fall in love with me then?” He asked, waiting to hear from her.
But she was quiet for a very long time until he snapped his fingers at her face.
“Why must I become your Luna?”
“Because I love you”
“Why me?” She blurted out unexpectedly whilst pushing him away after realizing he was only hurt and not drunk.
“Why do I have to be the one you love?”
“I’m just a weakling, the outcast of her family, the one whose mistake killed her mom and an unlucky child so why do you have to fall in love with me?” Arya finds herself becoming emotional.
The word love was something she used to crave while she was in her village but hearing it now feels different.
It’s like she now hates to hear it.
When she wanted to be loved, no one was willing to love her but now, someone is here claiming to
Love her.
It feels unreal.
She cannot dare to accept this confession.
“Come here!” Damon grabbed her wrist after waiting patiently and dragged her till she sat on his thighs.
Arya tried gazing away as their eyes met now that their face was just few cm away from each other, he wrapped his hands calmly around her waist and was slowly raising his other hand to her cheeks.
“I promise I’ll leave after this and I’ll not interfere in your decision after tonight!” He declared and before she could say anything to it.
Their lips locked up at once, she felt an electrifying jolt in her system as he rubbed his hands on her back whilst sucking her lips with so much passion.
Damon let out soft moans in between the kiss as he deepened it and went rough. Arya tried so hard to stop herself from reciprocating but ended up falling for his trick when he stopped kissing her and she took the bait.
“Hmmm” she moaned whilst running her fingers in his hairs.
Damon finds himself unclasping her bra and she finds herself zipping his trouser but a wave suddenly hit him.
“I won’t do this until you become mine fully!”
“You jerk!” Klaus cursed, he was ready to take in his mate tonight.
Arya immediately pulled the bed covers over her body as she felt a little bit embarrassed after going all over someone she just rejected.
“Goodnight” Damon muttered and touched her hair before secretly exiting her room.
“Aw! Aw!” Arya held her chest whilst blowing air to her forehead as she was covered with sweats.
What is going on with me?’ She thought to herself whilst touching her chest as it would’bt stop beating so fast.
Will I even be able to sleep?
“Just admit that you’ve fallen to!” An unfamiliar voice yelled to her and she immediately started fighting with invisible air.
The rest of her night went terrible as she spent it thinking about why she should actually focus on the process and become a Luna.
The following morning, she requested a leave to visit Willow as an excuse to actually have a chat with Phoebe.
For her, she felt that only Phoebe and Eloise could understand her better but now that Eloise isn’t anywhere to be found, she’d have to use her other option.
But she’s also worried about Elise being away without informing her.
“I was told that someone was looking for me, it was you?” Phoebe asked as she stepped into the maid quarters, she could immediately guessed that it was Arya.
“I missed seeing you!” Arya playfully ran into her arms and the woman was too stunned to even say a word.
‘When did we become this close?’ That was the expression on Phoebe’s face as she just stared without coming to a conclusion.
“I need to talk to you” she said as she held her hand tightly.
“Go ahead” Phoebe responded.
Arya requested that they talk in a secretive place which was phoebe’s room.
Arya was too patient for someone that lied about where she was actually going.
They both sat and the listener was waiting patiently for the conversation starter to go ahead.
“Why do you think I should become the Luna?” Arya suddenly asked.
“And what makes you think you’ll be the Luna?” Phoebe asked, unable to understand her.
“You..” Arya paused, she doesn’t think it is right to tell her what the beast keeps telling her.
“It’s not like I want to either, I’m just asking” she shrugged her shoulder.
“Hear me out, you do not have any qualifications in choosing the Queen and Luna of our pack”
“You are weak minded and you have no background, you are brazen, uncultured, arrogant and foolish, the position isn’t for a weak person like you as it comes with lots of sides that you won’t be able to withstand!” Phoebe rasped impatiently.
To Arya, it felt as if she was persuading her to not take the Process seriously but at the same time, forcing her to go on.
“If I want to become the Luna, what must I do?” Arya finally throws the huge question at her and now the dumbfounded one is Phoebe.
For sometime, there was total silence in her room.
“Be you and..”
“This is me, I have no changed my ways ever since I stepped into this pack and..”
“Stepped into this pack?, weren’t you always a member of this pack since birth?” Phoebe asked, staring at her.
“Yes yes!, I’m talking about the time I got lost and was found in the forest by the b..your.. I mean Alpha!” She laughed weirdly and stopped unexpectedly.
“Show the other maidens that you can truly become the Luna by leading in every category!”
“Stop talking back, listen when it is time and talk when you are asked too, reduce glaring at every person and acting chivalrous!”
“I..” she tried to hold in her laughter.
“So, I have to do all these to become the Luna?”
“Yes”
“Either ways, you’ll become the Luna but if you do not want to be talked about after claiming your throne, then you should show them that you truly deserved it!” Arya was shocked at the fact that Phoebe ended up spitting the truth.
It was clear, the beast clearly knows what he’s doing.
“One final question?” Phoebe nods for her to go ahead.
“Should I be wary of Julia?”
“After what happened the other day?, do you need anyone to tell you that you need to be?”
“Julia is desperate as she’s being treated as the future Luna as a child and she grew up with that and until this moment, she wants to be the Luna which isn’t what will happen”
“But she’ll do anything to get her post and that’s why you have to be careful, now leave!”
