3. “Mate!”

When I saw her at that river, I knew she had to be from one of the two villages around here but the situation that day wasn’t one in which I could stay and find out.

It wasn’t a very good day because that day, I lost my only family and I’m pretty sure I led her into trouble as well but the fact is that we cannot forget that moments shared.

It can’t be erased.

I leaned against the wall as I held unto my fist whilst the memory of our first meeting flashed by, I couldn’t stop licking my lips as her face kept popping in my head. Her beauty was unmatched, her voice, the best I’ve ever heard… my heart beats at the thought of her.

That woman who’s the only thing shaking my right as the Alpha King, I’ve been looking for her for God knows how many years!

But, she was a human.

A weak human who was not suitable to be my Luna or Queen.

She’d only be a threat and weakness to me.

I became hyper frustrated after the chat with my officials earlier as they kept reminding me of the space that needed to be filled.

My sense of smell was 100 times better than any werewolf because that was one of my special gifts but not once, I’ve not been able to smell her after that day.

But to think that I’ll finally get a hold of her around the same place I thought she’d be but the conflicts between us and humans at that time wasn’t a very good one but I still had rights over them.

After lots of findings and research, I walked through the village gates unannounced, like a king that I was and I wouldn’t be in such low level place if not for my purpose here.

Of course, I wasn’t here for fight, I was here for my Mate.

Because I was in the same place as she was, her scent filled my nostrils and my wolf was screaming.

We didn’t arrive at a good moment, and I knew someone was going to touch my mate which made me yell without thinking.

My authorities were queried because he didn’t know who I was and I had to show myself before it turns worse.

“Argh!” He screamed from my hit and took 5 minutes to stand back, everyone in the room began to panick and my eyes flicked over at my mate who was hanging her head low by a corner.

After his greetings which I accepted, he ordered the little palace to be evacuated by everyone, leaving just me and him.

“She should stay!” I ordered.

“But she’s just a…”

“A what?” I requested before he came to end.

“Forgive my rudeness and I’m sure you know it is due to your unannounced visiting but may I know what I and my villagers owe the pleasure for the Alpha King to visit us?” He asked, without offering me a sit.

He was still trying to act like a big man after what just happened, does he thinks I’m here to play games with him?

“Your village needs an upgrade and I’m willing to join hands with you to help your village and one thing you are in need of the most but under one condition!” I uttered with an emotionless face, I was spitting coldness.

My power emitted the room and I made my stance clear.

“Before we proceed, can you please let her go” he really didn’t know the condition but since I was going to see her again, I had to agree.

I couldn’t even see her face, she must’ve been so scared.

“We do need your supp…” he ate back his words in a flash which I find annoying.

“What’s the condition and what do you think I need the most?” He asked, now offering me a seat.

“Your daughter…” I paused, reading his face.

“Iris” I uttered.

“No, I’m against it!” He jerked up, fear was visible in his face.

I haven’t even concluded.

“Are you going to listen or listen to me howling?” He compressed his lips and composed himself immediately.

“I can cure her” he was surprised but was quick to mask it off.

It was hard to believe, but I knew what I was doing.

“She’d be cure in less than 3 minutes but there is a condition!” I repeated.

There was a glimpse of hope in his expression.

“Nothing in this world is free, My wife and I would be so grateful if that should happen but may I know what the condition is?” He asked, a forceful smile on his face.

“A woman from this village to be my slave” I told him.

“Woman?” He bursted into laughter, I never knew he’d be so calm. He must trust me.

“Do you need twenty?, thirty?, you can even have as much as fifty if you want” he laughed. “Who knew all it would take to save my daughter were some women whose purpose is meaningless??” He cracked harder which made me so angry.

“How dare you laugh so freely?, you think I’m some man in need because I came here?, don’t you dare forget that your life could end along with the whole village with a simple howling!” I warned him with rage burning in me.

He apologized and made foolish excuses that didn’t sit with me.

“I’ll grant your request and gather the most beautiful women in our village immediately!”

“Most beautiful…” I added.

“Granted!”

That’s it.
