Every other maidens already found themselves a suitable position as each person was thinking of a way to write the best so they don’t turn out yo be the one who leaves in the testing round.
Not even first round.
It won’t look good to anyone’s reputation.
Arya on the other hand gawked around, enjoying and embracing the aura the hall was bringing to her, it was cool seeing all those beautiful decorations on a normal occasion.
Girl, who told you the Luna selection process was a normal occasion?
“You aren’t even thinking?” One of the supervisors said as she sneaked up behind Aryas back.
“Do I have to?” Arya snapped back whilst shrugging her shoulder.
“As expected!” The spectators in the hall mumbled as Julia got up to submit her paper.
Yes, first in line.
“You can tell, the way she walks and everything about her points her as our future Luna!”
“Exactly, no one can tell me otherwise” the maids giggled between themselves, whereas, Julia was feeling on top of the world by those little conversations.
Soon enough, every other maiden began to submit their paper and Arya was still in a situation of whether to just write her mind or submit a blank paper?
“Choose blank paper!”
“Write your mind!” The voices in her head take control as they wander around her mind.
“No!” She screamed out unknowingly, all eyes on her for a seconds.
“You are submitting a blank paper?” The older lady turns to one of the maidens who just lowered her head.
“No, I can’t submit a blank paper, I won’t do what someone has already done” Arya said to herself and began to grind her brush on the ink pot to proceed to writing her mind.
Which she did.
She folded the paper as she wouldn’t want to have to explain herself in front of everyone why she called their almighty Alpha King a Beast.
Arya was too carried away that she just submitted without focusing her attention to it.
A while after each maiden had submitted their paper, the decision was to be made right there.
Alpha King stepped up from his throne and walked up to where the fresh roses were kept.
He picked 6 out of the roses and the elders were alarmed by his behavior, ever since the tradition of picking a Luna was made, no Alpha King has ever picked less than 15 roses.
Damon doing this clearly shows that over 20 maidens would be sent away the moment he picks his choice.
Arya giggled happily after catching on to what Damon meant from the elders who were busy talking to themselves.
She was sure that what she submitted will never get her picked by him, there was no f*****g way.
All maidens were asked to turn their back and face towards the door while he placed the rose on each paper.
After reading them.
He read from 1 to 15 and was quite disappointed by almost everything he has read.
“They’re not fit!” He yelled angrily whilst ordering the guards to take the papers away.
He finally dropped his rose on Julia’s Paper, the cheers from the hall was a signal to Julia herself.
Damon was finally done as he snaps his fingers for the maidens who could spot their paper table to step forward and the ones who can’t find theirs should do the opposite.
Arya was the first to step backwards and Damon couldn’t help but tilt his head with a weird smirk appearing on his lips.
“ We have five maidens here, does it mean there is one more maiden left?” Everyone began to stare at themselves.
Arya stood like a statue, she was pretty much confident until she felt a push by her shoulder.
“What is it?” She rolled her eyes.
“Your name is right there!, what are you doing here?!” The woman yelled angrily At Arya.
She has the most confused expression as she just stared blankly at the name desk and it was very clear that it was her.
the woman succeeded in bringing her to the front where Julia almost killed her with a deadly stare.
Arya couldn’t bear to look into Damon’s direction as she was sure that he was behind this.
“Why is he trying to make me his Luna?” She thought to herself.
When the context on her paper was revealed, her mouth was wide opened.
‘That’s not my handwriting!’ Arya screamed to herself as she shakes her head in disbelief.
Unable to believe that this man would go through any lengths to get what he wants.
How was he even able to change the paper with so many eyes watching them?
Just how?
She thought about it for a while but couldn’t come to a conclusion and it pissed her more than anything that’ll she’ll face him more in the future.
If all goes according to his plan.
“I’ll not let it go the way you want!” Arya declared and immediately grabbed her stomach.
“Argh!” She groaned in pain whilst squeezing her face till her veins were almost popping out.
All eyes fixed on her and not a single soul could detect that she was faking it.
“My…arhhhh!” She screamed harder whilst losing her balance and falling to the ground.
She bit her lips in regret for letting her body hit the ground so hard.
Alpha Damon stood in disbelief, wanting to rush over to pick her up but there were just too many people who’ll talk about this until forever.
“Carry her to the Pack’s Physician!” The woman ordered and Arya was immediately carried out of the place.
“Now, he’ll have no choice than to let me step down” she thought to herself whilst smiling and groaning even though she knew her secret would be out of the bag once she gets to Willow.
“Alpha King, should we..”
“No, she’s sick, not dead!” He angrily flashed at her.
Soon, they were all dismissed and the maidens were sent to their rooms in the Alpha Kings Chamber.
“Damon?” Owen called to his attention when it was left with just them.
“I know what you plan to ask so..”
“Are you saying I won’t get a reply?” Owen asked him again.
“You’ll, ask” Damon replied whilst ruffling his hair.
“Who is Arya?, I don’t know her origin in this pack and her background is suspicious so…”
“Shhh!” Damon stoped him halfway as he sighted a shadow across the hall
“Show yourself before I throw my dagger!” He threatened and instantly pulled his dagger to throw but he could even say another word.
Julia stepped out front the little corner she was hiding in.
“When??!” He yelled.
“Just when will you stop living in this fantasy that you’re more than what you are?, Julia!, be warned!”
“I’ve stopped but I’m here to ask you just one thing and I promise to stay away until I required to”
“Speak!”
“I saw everything,” she paused, gulping hee saliva.
“You keep on helping that girl, I clearly saw that she drew a circle and defined you as a beast hit you changed it!” Damon was speechless.
“If you promise to stop trying to help her, I’ll never disturb her”
“Fair play, leave!” He yelled and chased her as though he was chasing a mosquito.
“That was harsh!”
“If you do like her, you should be doing everything to stop her from seeing me, not blaming me from chasing her!”
